1. Download App
Begin by downloading the CrewHire App on your iOS or Android device, via the App Store or Google Play. Next, create your personal profile to register. If you already have an account, enter your username and password to get started.
2. Purchase License Key
Purchase a license key for the desired assessment, enter the 16-digit key, and click submit to activate.
3. Test Audio & Microphone
Now that you’ve activated your account, verify the assessment module. Next, test your microphone and speaker on your device to ensure functionality.
4. Take the warm up test
Before taking the assessment, run through the warm up option which explains the six categories of questions presented within the assessment modules.
5. Taking the assessment
Users will test their English skills within a timed session of 60 minutes. Keep note, unanswered or skipped questions will not count, which will affect users’ overall final score. It is highly recommended users take assessments in a quiet, uninterrupted setting for better testing results.
6. Complete the assessment
Complete the assessment you’ve selected. After you submit your last question, make sure to confirm your score. A certificate of completion will be available instantly as a PDF for download with your official CEFR score.
A2 Level is recommended
To effectively comply with shipboard safety matters, A2 is the entry level threshold. Candidates will be able to listen, understand, and create sentences to produce frequently used expressions passengers and crew use onboard.
Note: No certificates will be issued for scores below the A2 level.
